How to cancel your insurance
You may cancel your policy with immediate
effect by notifying us. Premium can only be refunded if no incident
has occurred which has led to a claim or may yet lead to a claim
against the policy. If you return the Certificate of Motor Insurance
within the first 14 days of the Policy Start Date shown on the
Details of Cover we will refund that part of the premium which
relates to the period remaining after we receive the Certificate.
After that time the following rules apply:
If you cancel within 12 months of the Policy
Start Date we will calculate the premium for the period of cover
based on our short period rates in force at the time. In the second
and subsequent years the premium will be calculated in proportion
to the period of cover. When we receive your Certificates(s) of
Motor Insurance we will refund any remaining surplus premium you
had paid.
We may cancel this policy by giving you
at least 7 days notice in writing. If our cancellation results
in the withdrawal of cover for which we have received a premium,
we will refund the premium in proportion to the period of cover
withdrawn.
